  • Business Advisor
    • Position:  Business Advisor

      JFCS is seeking a Business Advisor, who will provide business development assistance and marketing training to aspiring entrepreneurs in targeted population groups to start, grow and expand their business ventures.  Primary focus will be to provide support services and strengthen skill sets through individual and group assistance with business plans, marketing strategies, industry research, financial forecasting, and operational planning. The Business Advisor will serve on the JFCS Navigate team and will report to the Director of JFCS Navigate.

      The Business Advisor will manage clients/entrepreneurs to become ready for business financing through preparation of microlending applications and business modeling approaches. Through these programs and training initiatives, the Business Advisor will cultivate long-term relationships with the clients. The Business Advisor will support the Navigate Director with the implementation of business training programs, including classes and workshops for small business owners to help guide their pathway to economic self-sufficiency.  The Business Advisor will help create and maintain external relationships with partner organizations and community leaders through outreach activities and support services provided.

       

      Qualifications, Competencies and Characteristics

      • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, communications and marketing or equivalent experience in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
      • Previous experience in microenterprise development or managing for-profit business units/operations
      • Manage case load of clients, including tracking of business technical assistance, providing business financial coaching, loan packaging and guidance, business plan development, etc.
      • Demonstrated ability to analyze business trends and data to determine potential opportunities.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations and conduct engaging and interactive training programs.
      • Experience with a broad array of business topics, to include business management, promotional and brand marketing, and financial forecasting/planning.
      • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage shifting priorities.
      • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
      • Bilingual a plus.
      • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evening and weekends.

  • Community Outreach Coordinator
    • Position:  Community Outreach Coordinator

      Duties and Responsibilities: 

      JFCS is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator, who will assist JFCS Navigate with identifying potential clients for business planning and microlending services through outreach and events efforts.  Primary focus will be to implement canvassing (field market) strategies to promote services, followed by assisting in the communication and coordination of the client service between client and the assigned business advisor.

      Qualifications, Competencies and Characteristics:

      The Community Outreach Coordinator will support JFCS Navigate with outreach and business training initiatives focused on the International Community.

      • Enhance and support the work of the business advisor, by serving as liaison for communicating business planning assistance, loan packaging opportunity and mentoring support to the aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.
      • Outreach Coordinator will work in conjunction with the business advisor in managing relationships with the community leaders serving the targeted community.
      • Educate the specific community about JFCS Navigate business advising and microlending services.
      • Assist with event planning and coordination, neighborhoods/area canvassing, recruitment activities and group training sessions.
      • Interprets messages simultaneously or consecutively into specified language (Spanish or English), maintaining message content, context and style as much as possible.
      • Assist with translations in the development of promotional marketing and training materials for client services.
      • Provide recommendations on best approaches to entice potential clients to capitalize on service offerings at JFCS.
      • Conduct field market surveys for client opportunities.
      • Collects data and information to focus on the specific international community (events, networking, training) that may be useful to JFCS Navigate.
      • All other duties as assigned as part of contractual agreement.

      Education, Training and Experience Requirements

      • High school graduation or its equivalent
      • Fluent in Spanish and English languages

  • Driver
    • Position:  Driver

      Reports to: Homecare Director
      Position Type: Part Time
      FLSA Status: Exempt
      Location:  Louisville, Kentucky

      Purpose: Driver will transport clients (primarily elderly) who are ambulatory and wheelchair-bound to medical and social appointments, shopping, outings and errands. Those in wheelchair will require special attention in transporting. The driver will adhere to safe driving practices and will not operate a cell phone while driving.

      Essential Functions:

      • Transport clients from designated addresses to appointed destinations as per schedule.
      • Practice safe driving habits and follow all state and national safety regulations.
      • Provide stand-by assistance to clients as they embark and disembark vehicle ensuring seatbelts are worn by all clients and assisting as necessary.
      • Escort clients to and from errands and appointments as requested.
      • Document mileage, maintenance and repairs on vehicle logs.
      • Maintain vehicle readiness ensuring it is always clean, fueled and ready for use as well as identify and check for safety concerns, tire inflation, etc.
      • Maintain communication with Homecare Director regarding any changes, safety issues, critical incidents or general client concerns.
      • Excellent navigation skills and proficiency using navigation applications.
      • Assist with other tasks on behalf of Agency that involve transportation.
      • Maintain accurate, complete and timely client records handling all Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) confidentially in accordance with agency procedures regarding the security of client/agency information.

  • Homecare Aide

      $200 Sign-On Bonus* for new applicants! Jewish Family & Career Services is currently hiring Non-Medical Homecare Aides to begin immediately. Caring and compassionate caregivers work one-on-one with older adults in Jefferson County, assisting with personal care, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Position starts at $15/hour with opportunity for paid time off and benefits. Employees are required to pass a background check and drug screen. Flexible schedule, part-time and full-time schedules available.

      *available after working 90 hours in first six weeks.

      Performance Requirements: 

      • Perform shifts as scheduled (e.g. arrive on time, stay for the duration).
      • Follow provided care plans for all clients exactly.
      • Stay in communication with the Homecare Director continually.
      • Attend and complete all mandatory trainings.
      • Turn in required documentation (e.g. timesheets, flow sheets, incident reports, etc.) in a timely manner.
      • Comply with all applicable KY Personal Services Agency regulations.
      • Prompt compliance to requests for documentation and screenings (e.g. TB and drug).
      • Respect confidentiality of clients and comply with confidentiality and information security guidelines.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Ability to effectively communicate in English through oral and written means.
      • Sensitivity to the elderly, convalescent, and persons with disabilities.

  • Lead Case Manager
    • Position:  Lead Case Manager

      Purpose: Provide case management activities with economically marginalized individuals and families from diverse backgrounds through a strengths-based approach that honors life experiences and builds capacity for long-term success.  Supervise a team of case managers and work collaboratively with agency program teams to facilitate comprehensive service delivery.

      Essential Functions:

      • Manage a case load of clients.
      • Supervise and mentor case managers on the Family Stability team.
      • Coordinate Family Stability client intake for staff assignment and advise on care plans.
      • Supervise special projects/programs and ensure data collection.
      • Provide concrete services such as completing eligibility forms, resource coordination, securing government assistance, financial planning, etc.
      • Conduct client assessments, identify goals, establish care plans and quarterly reviews.
      • Network with community service providers.
      • Actively engage with and remain current on general community resources and local/federal entitlement programs; assist clients in obtaining them.
      • Track and monitor case notes; report client progress.
      • Collect client demographic and outcome data and complete reports according to schedule.
      • Provide administrative assistance for clients to complete necessary forms to access private and public
      • Advocate for clients to access private and public benefits.
      • Information & Referral (I&R) services for agency clients.

      Secondary Duties:

      • Maintain accurate, complete and timely client records and associated notes in the mandated systems in accordance with agency HIPAA, confidentiality and ethical standards.
      • Attend staff, team and impact area meetings.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise Family Stability Case Managers.

      Travel Requirement: Considerable local travel (Louisville Metro area) required during the course of business.

  • Licensed Psychological Associate
    • Position:  Licensed Psychological Associate

      Duties and Responsibilities: 

      The Licensed Psychologist Associate (LPA) will conduct psychological assessments with a focus on trauma-informed practices. The LPA will also carry a clinical caseload and will provide therapeutic services to adults, children, and families. Presenting issues may include addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, stress management, self-esteem and aging.

      Essential Functions:

      • Conduct psychological assessments under supervision.
      • Maintain a clinical practice of individual, couple, family and group therapy clients through face-to-face or telehealth formats.
      • Conduct evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of emotional disorders and mental illness within the scope of clinical practice.
      • Complete clinical quarterly reviews on each client and conduct planned termination as indicated by treatment plan.
      • Provide single or multi-session family life education groups.
      • Maintain up-to-date client case records and outcomes measurement as mandated by internal policies and procedures, and by those with contracted organizations.
      • Attend weekly clinical meeting with peer clinical supervision. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment reviews.
      • Case management and collateral contacts as indicated.
      • Represent the agency on community committees as requested.
      • Provide after-hours counseling and crisis intervention via telephone, as scheduled.

      Supervisory Responsibility: None.

  • Licensed Psychologist
    • Position:  Licensed Psychologist

      Duties and Responsibilities: 

      The Licensed Psychologist will conduct psychological assessments with a focus on trauma-informed practices. Most testing referrals will be from two main sources: immigrants or refugees who require an assessment to identify potential accommodations needed to take the naturalization test for U. S. Citizenship, and referrals from Family Court which focus on the identification of individual strengths, areas for success and the recognition of social determinants of health that can hinder client success. The Licensed Psychologist may also have the opportunity to provide supervision for psychology graduate students on site.

      Essential Functions:

      • Conduct psychological assessments.
      • Maintain up-to-date client case records and outcomes measurement as mandated by internal policies and procedures, and by those with contracted organizations.
      • Attend weekly clinical meeting with peer clinical supervision. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment reviews.
      • Case management and collateral contacts as indicated.
      • Represent the agency on community committees as requested.
