Food Pantry

JFCS is excited to announce the expansion of the Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry, which has provided clients of the agency with food and personal care items since 2005. The expansion, with the support of a Dare to Care/CareSource Hunger Innovation Grant, will allow us to serve double the amount of people as the pantry is now open to meet the needs of JFCS’s community neighbors.

Those who live in the 40205 ZIP code are eligible to come to open pantry hours as regularly as once a month on Mondays 5 -7 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m. – noon. Community members will be greeted with a warm smile, asked to complete some basic paperwork and have the opportunity to hear about other programs that can meet their needs.

For those who want to keep the pantry full, we invite you to drop off non-expired food and personal care items during business hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday -Friday.

Wondering what to donate? Here are some always –in-need items:
Baking Staples (oil, flour, sugar, spices)
Dairy Products
Fresh or Frozen Fruits and Vegetables
Laundry Detergent
Cleaning Supplies
Paper Towels
Incontinence Products
Diapers & Wipes
Feminine Hygiene Products

The food pantry is supported by the Sonny & Janet Meyer Family Food Pantry Fund. Through the generosity of people throughout the community, JFCS has become a partner to provide vital support to those who need it. You may also contact JFCS to help your organization set up a food drive.
