JFCS Feeding Families Food Drive 2021
Jewish Family & Career Services is excited to announce our annual Feeding Families Food Drive is back in 2021! From Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur, we ask that members of our community join us in feeding some of the most vulnerable individuals and families in Greater Louisville.
You can participate with your synagogue by dropping off your donated items before Yom Kippur and all items will be collected by JFCS volunteers and staff. You can also drop off items at JFCS on Friday, September 17 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
By participating you will help us continue to provide food and personal care items to JFCS clients and members of the community. In 2021 so far, the JFCS Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry has distributed more than 30,300 pounds of food through our curbside pick-up and delivery services.
This year, we will be accepting the following regular-sized (not travel or bulk-sized) items in support of the JFCS Feeding Families Food Drive:
- Applesauce
- Kidney or Baked Beans (no pinto or black beans)
- Brown Rice
- Canned Tuna, Salmon, Chicken
