Pledge 13 Kick Off Event & Service Opportunity

JFCS invites all Pledge 13 students to kick off a new year of service and get to know one another while participating a group service activity for the JFCS Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry. Join us to sort donations from our Feeding Families Food Drive, learn more about JFCS services and future Pledge 13 activites.
JFCS offers bar and bat mitzvah students an opportunity to join the Marjorie and Robert Kohn Pledge 13 Program as part of the preparation leading up to their bar/bat mitzvah celebration. The Pledge 13 program specifically offers these students opportunities to live their Jewish values through mitzvah opportunities with JFCS and elsewhere. Through the program, student participants commit to a minimum of thirteen hours of community service. Upon completion, JFCS provides a certificate of completion and small gift in honor of their achievement to be presented at their bar/bat mitzvah ceremony.
