2020 Virtual Feeding Families Food Drive a Huge Success

THANK YOU to all of our supporters in the 2020 Virtual Feeding Families Food Drive! Because of you, more than 15,000 pounds of food and essential items will be distributed through the JFCS Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry to individuals and families in the Greater Louisville community!

Since the beginning of the global pandemic, we have seen a marked increase in need surrounding food security. Between March 2020 and August 2020, the number of households and individuals served through the food pantry has doubled and we have distributed more than 5x the amount of food to those in need. In September 2020 alone, we distributed more than 7,600 pounds of food to individuals and families. JFCS is able to answer this need with assistance from our donors and supporters, like you. THANK YOU for helping JFCS ensure all in Greater Louisville live with dignity and purpose!

In an abundance of caution due to the global pandemic, we hosted our annual food drive virtually this year. It is our sincere hope that, soon, we will be able to accept non-expired food and personal care items from our loyal supporters who work to keep our pantry full.
