Sophia Fayne is the Volunteer Coordinator at JFCS and started in her role in May of 2026. Sophia is originally from Los Angeles, California, and moved to Louisville in 2022 to attend the University of Louisville, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy. During her time in school, she had the opportunity to work with a wide range of nonprofits throughout Louisville, providing client-centered care and gaining valuable experience serving diverse populations.

Growing up, Sophia was rooted in a strong sense of community, where helping others and volunteering were central to her Jewish values. She is excited to bring that passion into her role by creating meaningful volunteer opportunities not only for the Jewish community but for the Louisville community at large. One of the things Sophia values most about JFCS is its broad client base and its commitment to supporting every aspect of the community through a holistic approach to care.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys traveling, reading, spending time outdoors hiking, and trying all of the amazing local restaurants Louisville has to offer. If you are interested in volunteering at JFCS, please email Sophia at sfayne@jfcslouisville,org as she would love to get to know you and find a way for you to be involved in our organization.
