Serving Others with Dignity and Purpose
Jewish Family & Career Services relies on volunteers to help us expand possibilities for each person and every family to meet life’s challenges with confidence. As a volunteer with JFCS, you will play an important role in ensuring our clients are served with dignity and purpose. Explore the ways in which you can volunteer with JFCS, below.
To discuss becoming a volunteer with JFCS, contact Director of Advancement, Courtney Evans at cevans@jfcslouisville.org. We will be happy to work with you to select the right volunteer opportunity that matches your availability and interests. Below, please see a list of the most urgent volunteer needs:
- URGENT! Dare to Care pickup driver: Every Monday, from about 8:15am to 9:30am. Ability to lift 30 pounds is necessary.
- Shabbos Friends visitors: First Friday of every month you will host Shabbot services at a local assisted living facility with older Jewish adults.
- Food Pantry stockers: Tuesday morning/early afternoon (after 10am) we need someone to stock the food pantry
- Friendly Visitors: volunteer to visit in person with an older adult in the community who needs to feel a stronger sense of community and support.
