Today’s post is written by one of our great volunteers, Ruth Silon. She works super hard in our Food Pantry and helps us out a lot! Thank you for all you do, Ruth!
I feel privileged to be a JFCS Food Pantry volunteer. I look forward to Friday mornings when I come in, restock the shelves with food brought in by generous members of our community, or though a Dare to Care order. I am humbled by the task, and feel so fortunate that I have no trouble putting food on my table. This feels like a way to “give back” to the community and especially to JFCS which has done so much for me and my family.
I recommend volunteering at JFCS. Contact Shelley Kahn (at 452-6341) if you want to enrich your life in this way.
