Volunteer Spotlight: Julie Kling, Sophia Goldberg, and the Meeron family

The Carole & Larry Goldberg Family Mitzvah program hosts fun, inter-generational events scheduled throughout the year around Jewish holidays like Rosh Hashanah, Passover, and Hanukkah. The program is a great way to teach children of all ages about the importance of performing mitzvot. This week, we are highlighting the brilliant efforts of our Family Mitzvah volunteers; Julie Kling, Sophia Goldberg, and the Meeron family.

“Julie Kling, ‘The Magnificent Meerons’ and Sophia Goldberg make Family Mitzvah events special by fully engaging with costumes and activities as both volunteers and organizers” –Volunteer Coordinator Kim Toebbe

Recently, they have been responsible for the first iteration of Supermarket Scavenger Hunt for Passover, pop-up bake sales,  and facilitating senior parties at a low-income senior housing facility for national holidays, and much more.

The program is always looking for volunteers! If you would like more information, please contact Kim Toebbe at JFCS at 452-6341, ext. 103.
