Last week’s posts were a bit erratic, due to the Marketing Department’s valiant battle with the flu. This week will also be weird, since JFCS will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving! In keeping with the holiday, here’s a cornucopia of upcoming JFCS news to tide you over until next week…until then, have a fabulous holiday!
-Parents in Process is coming back January 23 and 30. If you’re thinking about adopting, mark your calendars! This is our two session workshop that will bring you up to speed on the adoption process and what you can expect when you make that new addition to your family. Find out more on our homepage, and also look for us at the upcoming Adoption Fair, January 29.
-Job Seekers, take note! Evening sessions are no longer in effect until further notice. Regular daytime sessions will continue as scheduled.
-JFCS and Chabad of Kentucky are building the first-ever CAN-ORAH, and you can be a part of it! Drop off canned goods at any Chabad Hanukah community program or event, or bring them to JFCS. Sunday, December 18 will be the building of the “can-orah” base, from 1:30-3PM. The completion and lighting of the can-orah will take place Dec. 28, at 4PM. All the food making up the can-orah will go to the JFCS Food Pantry! For more information, call JFCS at 452-6341, or Chabad at 442-2208.
