Things You Might Not Know: JFCS PALS Transportation

You know that JFCS has the division of Klein Older Adult services, offering assessment, in-home care, Caregiver support and training, as well as counseling for older adults and their families. What you may not know is that JFCS also offers another way to help seniors to stay more mobile and independent: meet P.A.L.S. (Passport Around Louisville)!

PALS is an easy-to-use, affordable program that helps senior adults maintain their independence by providing transportation services to activities such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, or personal errands. We offer two vans (one is wheelchair accessible) and volunteers to drive you. The PALS program runs over 5,000 trips a year!

PALS operates Monday through Friday from 9am—5pm. All PALS fees cover rides within a 25-mile radius. For every 10 miles over 25, there is a $5 surcharge. There is an additional charge for escorted services.

For more information, or to schedule a P.A.L.S. qualification assessment, please contact Naomi Malka at (502) 452-6341 ext. 249.
