Elizabeth Tully, MSSW, LCSW, has worked at JFCS for a little over a year as a counselor. When asked why she chose to work at JFCS, Elizabeth praised its “culture and values.” She describes “career’ as “doing what I love to do and sharing that passion and enthusiasm with others.” She describes herself as compassionate, trustworthy, and curious, which makes her the type of person that her clients and family can communicate with and trust. Along with seeing clients one on one, Elizabeth also runs a monthly caregiver support group on the First Monday of every month, from 3:00-4 00 pm at Christ Church United Methodist.
Elizabeth has been with her partner for 22 years! She has three children, ages 25, 21, and 15, and a 12-year-old dog. She also has an adorable 2-year-old granddaughter. To Elizabeth, family means “the ones who will be beside [her] no matter what happens.”
When she is not working, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She also loves to read and volunteer when possible. Her favorite family tradition, which is especially memorable, is opening up pajamas on Christmas Eve with her family.
Interestingly, as a part of her “bucket list,” Elizabeth hopes to travel to Italy. Also, her favorite singer, unknown to most people, is Neil Diamond!
