If you thought that JFCS was a weekday-only sort of place, you were wrong! This week-end, we have two great events. Only one requires a ticket, so consider it two events for the price of one!
Do you like pancakes? Do you have your tickets yet? This Sunday is the second annual all-you-can-eat Flapjack Fundraiser, from 8-10a.m. to benefit the Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry. The location has changed from last year, but the delicious food for a good cause has not – we’ll now be heating our griddles at the Applebee’s at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Taylorsville Road!
After the breakfast (and instead of taking a pancake-induced nap), come join us at 2821 Klempner Way for Heritage Sunday at the Farmers Market. This week will feature live musical perfomances by Bosnian students, as well as fresh produce, flowers, and arts and crafts from around the world. See you there!
Not a morning person? The market starts at 12:30! Or you can think in these terms:
-Ticket for Flapjack Fundraiser: $5
-Canned goods to donate to food pantry (optional): $1
-Feeling good in the morning because you’ve helped feed the Louisville community: PRICELESS
