Volunteer will be asked to meet with specifically assigned interviewees in order to record answers to the designated survey questions.
Volunteer will need to record these sessions or to hand write the responses and deliver either the tape or paperwork to JFCS upon completion.
Excellent listening skills are a must. The ability to converse easily with others and to make the interviewee comfortable and forthcoming is a must. Volunteer must have own transportation and a clean criminal record.
Volunteer will be asked to attend a Volunteer orientation and will then receive special training from the Volunteer Coordinator or the Oral History Volunteer Manager.
