Outreach Coordinators Needed!

Today’s blog written by Robin Ungar, Volunteer

Do you like to talk on the phone? Do you have good people skills? If so, Jewish Family and Career Services has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you:  JFCS needs an Outreach Coordinator!

An Outreach Coordinator is responsible for calling churches on behalf of Jewish Family and Career Services’ Older Adult Services, and spreading the word about all the ways in which we can assist. JFCS has been designated as the focal point agency for senior services in your assigned zip code(s) by KIPDA, the state aging services for Jefferson County. JFCS provides a variety of services for seniors and for those caring for seniors such as resource information, home care, transportation, telephone reassurance to home bound seniors, counseling, support groups, and educational trainings in the community, as well as other countless and wonderful services. Some services are provided without cost; some are fee based.

JFCS are trying to update their information about senior groups in their focal areas so that they can do a better job of outreaching to seniors in our area.

Any and all volunteer help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Jewish Family and Career Services is a great non-profit organization that helps the community with countless services and in countless ways.

If you are interested in giving any of your time to volunteer for this great organization, please call or email Kim Toebbe, Volunteer Coordinator. She can be reached at [email protected] or (502) 452-6341.
