Jewish Family & Career Services is seeking nominations now to honor new or first-generationÂ immigrants and refugees who excel in the fields of medicine/health care, education, technology, business/commerce,Â entrepreneurship, government, sports and the arts, as well as making a significant contribution in our community. Honorees will receive the MOSAIC Award, an artistic interpretation of Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community (MOSAIC).
This is Jewish Family & Career Services’ eighth year presenting the MOSAIC Awards, a dinner event to be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013. The event is an evening devoted to celebrating New Americans, their achievements and diversity in our community. Brooks Bower, CEO of Papercone Corporation, is the event’s honorary chair.
Nominations can be made by individuals or organizations. The deadline for submitting a nomination is November 16, 2012. A review committee of community leaders will select the honorees. Nomination forms are available by calling Beverly Bromley at 502-452-6341 orÂ by visiting the JFCS web site, where you can fill it out electronically.
