Purna Veer grew up the son of a farmer near Hyderabad, located in southern India. He moved to the United States in 1997 “with a single suitcase.” Raised as a Renaissance man, Veer is a nationally recognized entrepreneur & business leader at the helm of V-Soft Consulting Group Inc., a software company started in 1997 & is one of the fastest growing tech companies in America with more than 1,000 employees in 42 states. V-Soft was co-founded in Texas in 1997 and a year later, Veer moved the company to Louisville, where his wife, Radhika, was studying medicine. The company initially only provided IT staffing services but added providing IT solutions, from mobile applications, app development and cloud computing in 2013. V-Soft fills talent gaps by identifying resources & being able to place these resources into positions American businesses need to fulfill for mission & critical projects.
V-Soft has won awards, such as the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America (8 years),.the 2016 TechServe Alliance Excellence Award, Inavero’s Best of Staffing Talent Satisfaction Award, Biz Journals Business First Fast Fifty recognition (12 years) and being named one of Kentucky’s Best Places to Work in 2015 and 2017.
Growing his business and bottom line are not the only places where Purna focuses his energy. He cares about people and community, and it shows in his growing volunteer & nonprofit support. He serves as a board member for the Louisville Urban League, the YMCA, Greater Louisville Inc., and is a former board member for Walden School.
Purna’s entrepreneurial ventures also include Veering Creek Farm, a farm and vineyard in Smithfield, KY that boasts the largest hops yard in the state of Kentucky. Veering Creek also provides farm-to-table produce for Tandoori Fusion, a restaurant he opened in 2017 from his desire to meld his heritage and favorite Indian dishes with his new home in Kentucky.
