1908 Legacy Society

Leave a Legacy

Jewish Family & Career Services (JFCS) is pleased to introduce a unique opportunity for leaving a legacy of generosity that will touch the lives of future generations. For more than 100 years, we have been in the forefront in the Louisville community providing programs focused on family, work, education, older adults and refugees and immigrants. People, through every season of their lives, participate in programs that strengthen individuals and their families, enhance their self-sufficiency and give them the tools to manage transitions and meet life’s challenges.

By becoming a 1908 Legacy Society Member, you join like-minded individuals in promising that:

  • community members in need and crisis will always be able to turn to JFCS for support and guidance;
  • JFCS will continue to meet the changing social and economic needs that challenge our community, and
  • L’Dor Va Dor -- from generation to generation -- JFCS will meet the needs of our community

Whether your estate is large, modest or somewhere in between, you can help ensure that JFCS will not only meet the needs of our “family” today, but will also be here tomorrow to assist our children and our children’s children.

“I am a Life & Legacy donor because I value the JFCS mission to provide care, respect and kindness to those in need.  I want to ensure that Jewish ethical traditions are met for years to come – serving young and old, creating life-sustaining connections, and building community. This is what matters to me most – so my gift to future generations will help safeguard their opportunity to live fulfilling lives and to thrive.” -Robin Stratton

What is Life & Legacy?

LIFE & LEGACY is a partnership of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Jewish Community of Louisville, with the support of the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence, that promotes after-lifetime giving to benefit Jewish synagogues and organizations. Legacy giving – sometimes called planned giving – strengthens the community that JFCS serves and, in many instances, also provides you with tax advantages. It ensures that you will be remembered both by those who directly benefit from your generosity to JFCS as well as those who will be inspired by your example of planning for future donations.

Jewish Family & Career Services wishes to thank the generous community members* who have made a gift to our endowment fund or who have vowed to support our organization in their wills, trusts, retirement accounts or life insurance policies.
