Join JFCS for Chanukah Helpers 2012

Today’s article written by Kim Toebbe, Volunteer Coordinator

For a great family mitzvah, entertainment and intergenerational bonding all rolled into one you can’t beat the JFCS Family Mitzvah Event-Chanukah Helpers! This year’s event is planned for Sunday, December 2 from 1:30-3 at JFCS.  Ed Goldberg will graciously lend us a truck and driver again this year and they will be at Temple Shalom at 11 to load the truck– so if some folks are able to help Sheilah Miles and the Women of Temple Shalom load the truck, that would be great!  Then back at JFCS, Family Mitzvah attendees will unload the truck, enjoy music by the Chanukah Troupers led by Ellen Shaikun, make crafts and wrap Chanukah goody bags for families.

Admission to this event is free, however JFCS asks those attending to please bring:  a small bag of gelt, a box of latke mix and a small jar of applesauce for needy families.  It’s going to be a fun day! Please call Kim Toebbe at JFCS for more information and to RSVP 452-6341.
