JFCS Friday Updates

Broadcasting live from JFCS, the agency’s news is all odds & ends today! We’ve been crazy busy catching up from the holidays (see action shot, above) and getting ready for IGNITE Louisville this week. Here’s what’s coming up:

-The Job Seekers Resource Group is now offering day AND evening sessions! The new cycle starts on November 7, so follow the link to our homepage to get all the new info.

-The Microenterprise Directory is new and improved! Take a look at all of the local small businesses that JFCS helps. Our Center for Enterprise Development provides business training, technical assistance, and loans to help start and expand small businesses, so these guys are pretty special to us. Let the Directory find a new restaurant for you to try, or a new favorite place to shop!

-The Food Pantry has new requests for November: jams, jellies, stews and hearty soups. All donated food must be in its original packaging. Please do not donate expired items. For more information about our food pantry, please contact JFCS Volunteer Coordinator Shelley Kahn at (502) 452-6341 ext. 103.

-Finally, Career Services has new dates listed for their Winter ACT Preparation Classes! These workshops will meet from 7-9 PM, Mondays and Tuesdays, January 30 – February 21 for eight sessions. For more information and to register, please refer to the link to our homepage.
