Get off the Couch: Volunteer!

Today’s blog article written by Robin Ungar, Volunteer Blogger!

Need something to do this summer, or have some spare time in your daily schedule to make a difference in the community? How about volunteering for Jewish Family and Career Services? Make new friends, and make a difference!

JFCS needs more PALS (Passport Around Louisville) drivers – as mentioned in last week’s article! PALS drivers candidates would optimally have a flexible enough schedule to be available with three days notice. Additionally though, JFCS also needs volunteers in the following areas: Shabbos friends volunteers, telephone reassurance callers, gardeners, handy person, oral history interviewers, friendly visitors, and pick up food from Dare to Care. There’s a wide variety of positions available!

Any and all volunteer help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Jewish Family and Career Services is a great non-profit organization that helps the community in countless ways, with countless services.

If you are interested in volunteering any of your time for this great organization, please call or email Kim Toebbe, Volunteer Coordinator. She can be reached at [email protected] or (502) 452-6341.
