A new program will be up and running soon: The Gateway Project. It will allow JFCS to work with career changers, job seekers, individuals returning to the workforce, incumbent healthcare workers and other consumers, particularly those who aspire to pursue or advance careers in the healthcare field. The project will help participants learn how to most effectively access and use on-line career information, especially information geared to the healthcare sector. JFCS is participating in this project as one of nine other Jewish vocational organizations throughout the country affiliated with the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services. Funding for the project comes from a $2.9 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
