Family Mitzvah Passover Report

Today’s post written by Robin Ungar, JFCS Volunteer

The Family Mitzvah Passover Event, held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 was a huge success! Over 45 people attended the event.

There were three different activities at this event for the families to do together. They were Passover art and crafts, organizing Passover Food Bags that will be distributed to local Jewish families, and the Seniors’ Macaroon Project. The Passover Food Bags will be given out to thirty-five local Jewish families. Some of the families brought Passover foods to put in the food bags. At the Seniors’ Macaroon Project, families put cards on top of macaroon cans so that they could be delivered to local seniors living in assisted living and nursing facilities.

Participating families also brought food for the JFCS Food Pantry. Lots of wonderful Mitzvahs were performed at this year’s JFCS Passover Family Mitzvah Event.
