Caregiver Support Group
Monday, February 13, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 2:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating indefinitely
The Caregiver Support Group, facilitated by an expert in geriatrics, provides opportunities for problem solving, mutual support and education. This group supports caregivers of any age caring for someone over 60 (or 55 with a dementia diagnosis). Caregivers do not need to live with their family member to qualify. They can live in the same home, the same city or across the country. They can provide care 24/7, several hours a week or simply worry from close by or afar. Either the caregiver or care receiver must live in one of the following Kentucky counties: Jefferson, Shelby, Bullitt, Oldham, Henry, Spencer or Trimble.
This service is funded by KIPDA and is free for participants meeting the eligibility requirements. The group will meet virtually on Microsoft Teams on the second Monday of each month.
