    Designed for individuals who have voluntarily left the workforce for an extended period who are now ready to start or return to a career.     Designed for unemployed or under-employed individuals who would like help finding work or building a small business. If you fall within this program’s guidelines for low income, you may qualify for free employment and business development services.

    Learn to start or grow a small business, prepare for a successful career search, write a business plan or build credit and assets. This program provides you with the tools that lead to self-sufficiency and financial security.

    Walk-ins are welcome on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. Additional hours are available by appointment — call (502) 664-4614.

Whether you have been downsized, lost your job, are under-employed or are returning to the workforce after an absence, we can help. Our Employment Services programs aid job seekers with workshops and other opportunities to sharpen job search skills and find meaningful employment.

Resume Development

Your resume is often the first impression you make on a potential employer. Learn to refine your resume through focused and personalized consultation with our career specialists. With an improved resume, you can make sure that you put your best foot forward on your path to a new career.

Networking

Nearly 70 percent of all jobs are found through networking. If you find that your networking skills are not as sharp as you would like, we can help. Learn to use social media and other networking opportunities so that you become more effective in your overall networking strategy.

Employment Counseling

You may encounter a variety of issues related to employment, and our counselors are here to help you understand your work environment and the relationships within it. You can clarify your employment goals, create a plan to strengthen your job search skills, or find information about industry sectors and workforce opportunities best suited to you. Regardless of your concern, you can count on our expertise in all areas relating to employment.

Interview Coaching

When you make it past the initial screening process, the interview is your time to shine as a candidate. Learn and understand the steps to a successful interview and polish your skills through activities such as mock interviews, employer research and strength-driven strategies for interviewing.
