SUMMARY:The 2023 JFCS MOSAIC Awards
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, May 16 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for the 2023 JFCS MOSAIC Awards!\nSince 2006\, the JFCS MOSAIC Awards have recognized Louisville’s diverse leaders\, changemakers\, and humanitarians who are making an impact in our community. We have celebrated over 70 individuals who reflect the values of JFCS and work to make Louisville a more equitable place for all. Honorees will receive the MOSAIC Award\, an artistic representation of Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community in the Spring of 2023. \nEach year as we celebrate the MOSAIC honoree’s professional and philanthropic endeavors\, we can raise the funds necessary to support our work in expanding possibilities for each person and every family to meet life’s challenges with confidence. Funds raised from this event enable us to respond to community member needs and provide quality services that empower individuals to create better futures for themselves and their families. \nMore details will come soon\, but for now mark your calendars for this amazing annual event!

SUMMARY:Town Hall: "To Be Jewish in Louisville"
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for September 7 at 6 p.m. or September 8 at 11:30 a.m. for a Town Hall event to hear the results of the 2022 Study of Jewish Louisville. Conducted and presented by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University\, the study reflects the most comprehensive research of our community to date. \nHow large really is our community? Where do we live? How do we gather? What does it mean to be Jewish in Louisville? The study answers these questions and more. It paints a portrait of our unique community and offers ideas for creating the most inclusive\, vibrant\, and welcoming Jewish Louisville possible. \nBoth Town Halls will take place at the Trager Family Jewish Community Center\, with a Zoom option available for the September 7 event. RSVP details coming soon!

SUMMARY:Young Adult Volunteer Night at Project Friendship
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday May 3 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for a fun night of service at Project Friendship! JFCS recently partnered with Project Friendship to provide clothes and other goods to clients in need. We’re looking for some young adult volunteers to help sort clothing and household goods by size and category at the Project Friendship Warehouse (1001 Breckinridge Lane #105). \nDiscover how both Project Friendship and JFCS serve the greater Louisville community and help prepare these items to be distributed to one of fifty local organizations. If you’re looking for a way to truly make an impact in the community and feel confident that your efforts are directly helping others – this is it! \nDid we mention that sorting is more fun with music\, dancing and snacks? We’ve got that covered too. \nContact Volunteer & Events Manager Avery Markel to RSVP: amarkel@jfcslouisville.org.
