Unexpected car repairs. Medical bills for a sick or injured family member. A leak in your basement you only discover during one of those intense Louisville spring showers! These are just a few examples when $300 in emergency savings could go a long way in helping overcome unplanned financial difficulties.
Funded by the Humana Foundation, the AcceLOUrate Savings Program is a new, multi-agency effort. Jewish Family & Career Services (JFCS) is one of the community service providers and offer this service to both new and existing clients.
If your household income falls within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, you could be eligible to take part in this program. The JFCS Family Services Team is available to help you figure out how to improve your savings and plan for the unexpected! A financial coach will help you navigate financial processes, such as improving your credit score, budgeting, and finding ways to save money; you’ll also be connected with JFCS’ employment experts, receive financial counseling and learn from your peers. Please call today at 502.452.6341.
