Are you cut out for college?

Today’s article written by Bob Tiell, Director of Career Services.

What’s the best predictor for college success? If you guessed high school grades, you’re correct. Studies show that high school GPA is the single best predictor for continued college academic performance.

Now, several factors influence GPA – study habits and maturity, to name just two. If a student’s school performance isn’t up to expectations, parents often get anxious and want to get to the bottom of it.

Under these circumstances, JFCS can do a psycho-educational evaluation to diagnose the source of the problem and recommend steps for turning things around. If you know families dealing with this underachieving behavioral pattern, JFCS can help.
