The end of 2012 is at hand, but that’s not slowing us down one bit here at JFCS. Well, maybe a little, because we’re closed on January 1 for New Year’s Day (that’s next Tuesday). Otherwise, here’s how this week has shaped up:
– Our JFCS Volunteer enewsletter for January is out now! Follow through the link to read about how volunteers like Susan Allen, Bruce Belman, Jason Goodman, and many many more are helping shape and grow our agency every day. If you’d like to get on our volunteer mailing list, give Kim Toebbe an email or call at (502) 452-6341 ext. 103.
- Our “Alzheimer’s Grinch” session may be over, but our free Alzheimer’s 2-part series with Jo Anna Weiss continues on Friday, January 18, 2PM, with “Caregiver Resourcesâ€. If you’re caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or other cognitive impairment, please join us at JFCS for an expert’s insights and advice on this difficult condition.
-Something new to put on your calendar is the upcoming JFCS/JCL Potluck and Information Meeting at JFCS, set for Sunday, January 27 from 5 – 7 PM. The speaker will be Robin Rosenbaum, Director of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs Poverty Action Campaign. To RSVP and for more information, contact Kim Toebbe at 452-6341
-Our Job Seekers Resource Group‘s next sessions start super soon (January 7!), but there’s still time to register. Learn how to retool your skills for job hunting, interviewing, and negotiating a successful career. For more information contact Andrea Goins, (502) 452-6341 ext. 246.
Stay tuned next week as the blog returns on Thursday. Have a safe and fantastic New Year!
